Jim Vitale

https://www.facebook.com/JimVitaleMusic

From the grit and balladry of the blues and country music to Deep Southern Soul music and Pop hooks, Los Angeles singer/songwriter Jim Vitale blends the strains of these and other so-called “Americana” traditions into a gumbo that percolates just right. Among his many influences as a songwriter/singer/guitarist, Vitale counts such diverse artists as Tom Petty, Kris Kristofferson, The Beatles, Freddie King, Stax Records, Bob Dylan, Carol King, Willie Dixon, Jimi Hendrix, Doc Pomus, The Band, Jimmy Webb, The Counting Crows, Albert Lee, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Magic Sam. As a recording artist his style can be thought of as Roy Orbison drinking John Doe’s whiskey at a Traveling Wilburys rehearsal. Vitale has also been an ace sideman and session guitarist working out of Los Angeles, CA for over a decade.
